Tsuzuki

Privacy policy

Last updated October 9, 2026

The short version: we don’t collect anything about you. Tsuzuki has no accounts, no servers holding your data, no ads and no analytics.

What stays on your phone

Your library, reading history, downloaded chapters, settings and backups all live on your iPhone. If you save a backup to Files or iCloud Drive, it goes where you put it and nowhere else.

When Tsuzuki goes online

Only to do what you ask. When you open a book catalog, a source you’ve added or your own book server, your phone connects straight to that site, the way a browser would. Sites you open in Tsuzuki’s built-in browser can set cookies, just like in Safari.

If you add a plugin repository, Tsuzuki downloads its list of plugins, and any plugin you install, from the address you gave it.

When you look up a novel’s details, its title is sent to Open Library, AniList or MangaUpdates so they can find it.

Each of those sites has its own privacy policy.

Tracking, if you want it

If you link AniList or MangaUpdates, Tsuzuki updates your reading progress there for you. Your sign-in is kept in the iOS Keychain on your phone, and you can unlink any time in More → Tracking.

App lock

Face ID and your passcode are handled by iOS. Tsuzuki only hears back whether it worked.

Getting in touch

If you email us, we’ll use your message to reply and for nothing else. Write to support@tsuzukiapp.com.

If this changes

If we ever change this policy, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
